The System Part is mounted indoors. It consists of one or more system modules built in 19" subrack.
They performs following functions:
QAM modulation and demodulation of intermediate frequency signal
Time multiplexing of baseband (4, 8, 34, 2x2, 4x2, 16x2 Mb/s) and service channels
Mapping and demapping of four 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet signals
Local and remote supervision by the SparkView Network Element Management System
Protection switching in the case of 1+1
Different types of system modules are available in order to perform the functions mentioned above.
All modules have built in supervision functionality. It enables local supervision and management,
communication between equipment on the same or different locations. Over F interface, it can be
connected to computer workstation with SparkView Network Element Management system.
System module SYM8 performs multiplexing 2x2 or 4x2 Mbit/s signal into 4 or 8 Mbit/s stream, multiplexing
with service channels and QPSK modulation/demodulation of intermediate frequency.
System module SYM34 performs multiplexing 34 Mbit/s base band with service channels and auxiliary
2 Mbit/s channel. The multiplexed signal is translated to intermediate frequency by QPSK modulation/demodulation.
Multiplex module MXM216 performs multiplexing of digital and voice service channels,
auxiliary 2 Mbit/s channel and base band 16x2 Mbit/s channel. In addition, the module
enables hitless switching in the case of protection configuration.
Switch module SWM8 is intended for 8 Mbit/s radio transmission system. It performs
digital and voice service channel multiplexing and base band 2x2, 4x2, 4 or 8 Mbit/s
/service channels hitless switch.
Switch module SWM34 is intended for 34 Mbit/s radio transmission system. It performs
service channels and auxiliary 2 Mbit/s channel multiplexing and hitless switch in the
case of protection configuration.
Ethernet module EWM34 A1 is intended for transmission of four 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet signals,
one E1 signal and different digital service channels over 34 Mbit/s radio and hitless switch.
Ethernet module EWM34 A2 is intended for transmission of four 10/100 Mbit/s
Ethernet signals over any E3 transmission systems
Ethernet module EYM34 is intended for transmission of four 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet signals,
one E1 signal and different service channels. The output of module is QPSK modulated
intermediate frequency for outdoor radio part.
Alarm module AEM XT performs collection and processing of alarm conditions, data
acquisition on analog inputs and management network node.
